FNE files new injunction against tech giant for abuse of dominant position

If you require more information, please contact: In line with the judicial processes promoted by various competition authorities worldwide, on May 5, the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office (“FNE”) filed a request before the Court for the Defense of Free Competition (“TDLC”) against a technology giant and one of the relevant players in the digital world (the “Respondent”). Specifically, the authority accuses it for alleged conduct constituting abuse of dominant position in the national market for the distribution of applications and distribution of paid digital goods offered through these applications, in both cases in the Android operating system, at least from 2019 to the present.
